Without further ado, let's get on to the videos! My AIM name is Dekarzombie12 and my skype is blackbeltbobman. I will need a lot of guests, as this game consists of a lot of chapters, so you can volunteer in the thread and I will contact you if I need you. Yes, I know some parts are somewhat text heavy, but the commentary (with guests) will be able to remedy this. I might get all the recipes, and will definitely get all of the treasure maps, which come late in the game, because they are integral in collecting all the character cards. I will not be collecting every enemy capture card because it would be an excessive waste of time, but I will collect the character cards, which are not as annoying. I will be doing every extra side quest, including extra dungeons/challenges/things of that nature. Expect to see areas taken directly from old games. A lot of it hearkens back to the original Super Mario Bros. It consists of 8 worlds, each split into 4 chapters (numbered 1-1, 1-2, etc.) with a central hub connecting them. I won't spoil anything, but there is one chapter in particular that is probably the funniest thing I've ever seen in a video game. It's also really funny! The previous two games had a lot of humor in them, but nothing close to this game. I will explain more about these things in the videos themselves. Instead you get caught cards which are simultaneously a battle mechanic and an excessively retarded collect-a-thon. There are also multiple playable characters! It retains much from its predecessors, including RPG elements, partner characters, and have a ton of shit to pointlessly collect. So you are constantly flipping between 2D and 3D throughout the entire game.
This game is a 2D action/platformer at heart, but several puzzles have to be solved by using Mario's special ability to flip into the Third Dimension. It has received pretty good reviews, although as far as I know Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door received slightly more praise. Originally developed for the Gamecube, it was moved to Wii and takes advantage of the Wii's motion capabilities without it being too overbearing or gimmicky. It was inspired by the Bowser levels from Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. Super Paper Mario, the third game in the Paper Mario series, was released for the Wii in April 2007.
